Useful Travel Apps

Of the travel apps I have seen these have been very useful in our travels in the motorhome.


Google Maps - the new Google Maps app

My Maps Editor - very good to quickly note location which automatically feeds back into in "My Places" in Google Maps

Google Earth - use KML files which can be imported into Google Maps

Tourist - preload tourist information of destinations from WikiTravel - good practical advise too

Wikihood - organises and displays all of the Wikipedia information for any place in the world

Trip Advisor - enough said!

Traveling in UK and Germany in our motorhome:

AA Days Out - features visitor centres, stately homes, castles and gardens,plus museums and galleries

National Trust UK - worth being a member if in UK for any length of time

Bord Atlas - good for motorhomers in Germany

Germany Travel Guide byTriposo -  complete and up to date city guides

Smart Guide Germany - audio narrations stunning pictures and maps

Other useful apps:

Photosync - a great panorama app

Blogger - the Google Blogger App

IBook - load a few epub books or pdfs - and away you go!

Wi-Fi Finder  -  320,000 locations in 140 countries worldwide
