The Weser - Bevern

Spent the day in the small village of Bevern on the Weser.

Took a long walk around the village during which we spent time at the Weserrenaissance Schloss Bevern.
Weserrenaissance Schloss Bevern
This castle is one of the finest examples of the Weser Renaissance architectural and decorative style of Northern Germany. It's a style developed by Dutch architects in the region during the 16th and 17th century which features high gables and very decorative ornamentation. Other examples we have seen are the Hamelschenburg and the Rattenfanger in Hameln.

An interesting g little village with other very old buildings in the stage o being brought back to life.
Under repair
The weather much cooler - 24 degrees - much easier to handle!

Now this is a door! Main entrance of Schloss Bevern.
